Cordura 1000D & 500D
Cordura is my go to material for the rider that cares more about long term appearance and durability over weight. These Cordura materials offer a wide variety in colors so you can build the bags of your dreams! All the Cordura that I carry has a water resistant exterior coating and a urethane internal coating with a classification of waterproof. Material weight is 10.8 oz/sq yard(3’x3’) which on a framebag will make it a few ounces heavier. All Cordura materials I carry are manufactured in the USA.
X-Pac
X-Pac is a Material manufactured by a company named Dimension Polyant. This material is laminated with a solid waterproof membrane that has the diamond pattern. The face material(except for LS42 & LS21) is a nylon packcloth in 210D or 420D that has an additional water resistant coating. I don’t carry as many colors in XPac due to the material cost being higher. X-Pac is a lighter material coming in at 6.2oz/sq yd for the VX21 and 8.8oz/sq yd for the VX42. The appearance of the X-Pac material over time tends to look more worn when compared to Cordura. All X-Pack materials are manufactured in the USA.
Challenge Sail Cloth
Challenge Outdoor fabrics comes from another sailcloth manufacturer and is similar to XPac. The EPX200 is a laminated material with a 200D Recycled Polyester face fabric laminated to a waterproof membrane and a 70D ripstop interior with a weight of 6.4oz/sq yard. The Hybrid Heather 400 is a 400D Polyester/Nylon hybrid face material laminated to a waterproof membrane and a 70D ripstop interior with a weight of 9.5oz/sq yard. There are additional colors that I don’t have in stock due to price/minimums but may be available for special order. Challenge is a newer product for me and I’m not sure what the long term appearance will be.
