Remember how you could always count on Granny having a pantry stocked with Sweets? I do! That’s how I keep this bag when I’m headed out on a long ride.

The Granny’s Pantry is a bag that I thought about for years but, I wanted it to be a bit different than what was on the market. It’s kinda like a small Rando Style bag but, more stable and smaller. I wanted something that would be at home on a road or gravel ride, providing easy access to snacks and a small camera. This bag was originally designed just before I rode the Land Run 100 on almost no training so, I knew eating massive amounts of carbs would be essential! I survived Land Run and continued fine tuning the design for over a year.

One of the difficult things with making a bag like this for drop bars is support, keeping the load off the shifter and brake cables is essential. I am now offering the Granny’s Pantry with two different supports. The standard bag uses a supplied lightweight support bar that is clamped to the bars(31.8mm only!). The bar adds a second set of straps just below the handlebars. It also includes 3-3/8” spacers on each side for the handlebar for finger space and 1 on each side for the lower support. The Klickfix version uses an aluminum rail and quick release bracket which works really well and only adds around 2ozs of weight. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find the hardware at wholesale, but would be happy to send you links to where the hardware can be ordered. The top of the bag is skirted on the sides to keep rain out and the top has a map/phone pocket with a Velcro closer. The top of the bag is closed by pulling the shock cord rearward around the stem. The interior has 3 pockets for organization and can be purchased with an optional removable camera pocket that has a soft and slightly padded body. On the front you will find additional webbing for pinning on a race number or carrying additional items. Please note that I recommend 3lbs or less in the standard bag to reduce slipping the support bar. The Klickfix adapter version is rated for 14lbs max.

I do not recommend the standard bag for use on carbon handlebars. The supports bar clamps can slip on the smooth surface and damage the top coat. The Klickfix adapter will come with hardware to fit a variety of handlebar diameters and is probably safer on a carbon handlebar if you add protective tape

These are made one at a time and are very time consuming to make. Allow up to 12 weeks for delivery.
